The Noteables Show Choir has been spreading Pekin Pride through song and dance since 1977.

Ultra runners come to McNaughton Park in April for some serious hill running. Choose 50, 100, 150 and new for 2015, a 200 mile trail run guaranteed to make your quads burn!
Get a great deal and give some new wheels – the annual Auction helps AMBUCS create mobility for people with disability. Typical items up for bid include vehicles; sports, events and attractions tickets; celebrity, sports and collectors’ items; gift certificates; and more. Held the first Friday in May.
Salvation Army 5K
Run for a cause in the annual May race, benefiting local youth programs and supporting the Army’s Child Care Center.
Fly in or cruise in to Pekin Airport’s annual festival of high-flying fun on Father’s Day weekend in June. Plane rides for kids, pancake breakfast, pork chop/brat lunch and trophies for the best aircraft, vehicle and motorcycle.
July 4th Honor America Celebration
Summer fun starts with a bang of July 4th, in Memorial Stadium, at one of the area’s best fireworks displays, featuring a mix of aerial and ground effects, plus live entertainment, food and family fun put on by the Pekin Area Chamber of Commerce.
Flat, fast and for a fabulous cause, it’s a celebration of fitness that benefits Pekin Hospital. Post Party at the July event features food, drinks, a DJ, vendors and kids’ activities.
Pekin revs up the last weekend in July, showcasing 1,000 antique and new model cars, trucks and motorcycles, plus live music, food, vehicle-related vendors, awards and spirits.
Wholesome family fun in late July showcasing 4-H livestock shows and projects, plus a livestock parade, food, ice cream social, live entertainment, craft show, carnival games and more.
Faith and fellowship come to the riverbanks of Pekin in August for an old-fashioned revival featuring a time of worship led by praise music and guest evangelists.
Dueling pianos amp up the entertainment; a silent auction and key drawing to win cash and prizes take it up another notch. In August, all to benefit Pekin YWCA.
Popular downtown event kicks off the annual Marigold Festival with five hours of free entertainment, food vendors, soft drinks and kids’ activities. Friday after Labor Day.
Showcases the nation’s top disc golf players competing in nine events at McNaughton Park (plus Peoria and Morton) in September. For 2015 it’s a stop on the National Tour and the richest tournament purse in history.
Every year for the past 14 years, Pekin Police has participated in the National Night Out Against Crime. It takes place every fall at the Avanti's Dome in Pekin.
This event is free for all ages, with primary focus on the children in our community. We provide games, bouncy houses, a giant rock climbing wall, balloon animals, face painting, food, K9 Demonstrations, prizes and the opportunity to hang out with Police Officers, Firemen, and Paramedics.
Halloween Fun Fair & Downtown Trick or Treating
A popular age-old tradition, with trick or treating at downtown businesses, a parade down Court Street, an all-ages costume contest and more. And when you’re done there, scare up some more fun at Pekin Haunt, with a zombie shoot, two-story battlewagon and corn maze at Pekin Paintball Park.
Friends In Harmony is dedicated to sharing their love of music and giving back to charitable organizations in the community.
The Pekin Civic Chorus appeals to all types of people from many backgrounds with a love of choral music, singing, and good fellowship.
